Obama unveils new Symbol

Barack Obama sure likes his symbolism.

Who can ever forget the hopeful rising sun coming up over a horizon of stripes, suggesting a new day of change coming?

Or the Obama for President seal, complete with a spread-eagled eagle, heart filled with the hope of Obama's first seal?

And certainly not the self-adulatory hubris of the Office of the President Elect.

Today President Obama unleashed the latest creation of his egomaniacal mind, a stamp that will forever glorify (and transform, I'm sure) all the wasteful projects stemming from his porkulus spending bill, ARRA.

President Obama announced today that his administration will begin stamping an emblem on projects funded by the economic stimulus packageso that people can easily recognize the effects of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act....

Obama is such a stinkin’ NAZI!!!

ARRA is closer to Aryan than it is to “error” as another poster stated...

“WHats wrong with Old Glory?”

The first one who nailed it... he will do absolutely, positively anything to keep from having to display the flag. His entire reason for running for office was to change our country and our traditions...

You are really stoking me for revolution, aren’t you???

Oddly fitting.
Though you could change that to a false sense of security.

The plant is small and insubstantial, not robust and productive.

Leaves of three, let it be.

I think the temptation to take a can of black spray paint to these logos and superimpose another is going to be to hard for some to resist.

Just the kind of symbolism you see in communist countries. “Revolutionary art.”

Nice to know there's some other people out there that think like this. My wife just rolls here eyes when I point out something like this. I had an experience like the one you pointed out when I was in the office equipment business. One of he artsy companies that we dealt with had an advertisement that had a model car pictured with the caption, “Just what you would expect from a designer who created this” or something to that effect. The car had wheel skirts on the front that were airfoils similar to those seen on non retractable landing gear except non symmetrical. They steered with the wheels. This absolutely does not work. It was tried with symmetrical skirts several times and was so unstable that it killed one driver. I hate to think about the stability problems with airfoils that would gain “lift” the more the angle of attack was increased. What would I expect from that designer? Scares me to think about it!
