Obama was going to scrap missile defense anyway which he announced in his Cold War jab in his talk to Congress. He needs the money for his socialism entitlement plans. And anyway those “extremists” are yesterday’s terrorists with a downgrade.
Being that he and Rahm think they are smarter than the rest of the fools here and in Russsia, he figured he’d bribe the Russians with a trade - the soon to be moribund missile defense for helping Iran go nuclear, and bamboozle us citizens too into thinking he was cutting the program for that reason not just gutting defense. (did you hear Schumer singing his praises?)
But the Russians are not that stupid (Schumer is). After all they of all countries know what it is like to play brinkmanship with expensive weapons systems as chips. They are Reaganizing us.
Obama takes axe to bloated government spending
President Barack Obama on Wednesday promised to save American taxpayers 40 billion dollars a year by slashing waste in government contracting, with a special eye on bloated spending on defense.
So maybe Russia will help by sending money....
