Don’t worry. Putin is a “real American” — since he told Obama he wouldn’t consider it...
It’s the only good thing Obama has done yet. He seems inclined to get rid of the boondoggle, might as well try to get Russia something out of it.
However, Russia called his bluff on it. See, they cannot really believe the Americans would claim that missile base sited to shoot down ICBMs flying suborbitally over Poland is not intended to shoot down Russian missiles, but mythical Iranian missiles.
But then, Russia does not understand Military-Industrial complex boondoggles. It’s the thought that counts. It must drive them crazy when Bush and Obama offered to sell them the technology too...it must be an American trick! Nope, the companies would gladly take Russian money too.
