Brownback didn’t need to say a word. He has supported the advancement of someone he knows supports abortion to the Cabinet position most able to advance abortion. This is material cooperation.
I’m not judging his soul, I’m judging the moral consequence of his actions—which we have to be able to do in order to distinguish right from wrong.
“Don’t judge,” usually means “look away while I do something I’m not willing to defend,” in my experience.
No matter who fills this spot, that person will be proabortion.
Therefore, there is no moral decision to be made.
