Kill this post..It was several days ago and not even remotely interesting. A waste of effort.
An obvious consideration.
Go away.
They stole her money.
Great movie reference!
I agree, while 911 should not be abused in such a fashion, they did in essence steal her money. I bet the manager of that franchise is getting a royal smackdown from corporate. And the cashier is already fired. What a dumb thing - national attention for refusing to refund a few dollars. Makes me laugh just sitting here typing to you!
To their credit, I've had a very good experience with McDonalds corporate. A few years ago when the first Narnia movie came out, McDonalds had character figures with their Happy Meals. My daughter (7 at the time) really wanted them all, but missed a couple and was disappointed enough that I called McDonalds main office to find out about buying them. The woman on the other end sent them to us for free. Delightful customer service experience.
Eggs Ackley! If this idiot woman had complained to McDonald's hierarchy, she would probably gotten a bunch of free coupons. But,,, calling 911? She should be in trouble.
>>To be more accurate, the problem wasn’t that McDonald’s was out of McNuggets, but it was that they wouldn’t give a refund when they were unable to handle an order that had been paid for already. The customer had a reasonable solution: “Give me back my money!” Instead McDonald’s wanted to keep the cash. I don’t know if I would have called 911 when a restaurant was stealing from me, but I sure would have either been enough of a pain in the ass that they would have either returned the money or called 911 on me. <<
Agreed - it sounds like theft by taking on the part of McDonalds.
No, the photo you showed is of the victim of misrepresentation, fraud and robbery.
The PERP is the McManager who refused to refund this woman’s money after trying to substitute something the purchaser PAID FOR with something the purchaser DID NOT WANT.
If you paid me for a can of soda, and I gave you a bottle of tomato juice instead because I ran out of soda and wouldn’t give you a refund, would you happily go about your day, or would you get uptight?
..chicken nuggets are not an emergency..

I definitely am not going to keep ‘beating a dead horse here’ but if you went to Walmart for a big screen TV and once you had paid for it they came out and said “We are out of big screen TV’s take a couple of other things to make up the difference”
You (or most ‘sane’ people) would tell them you would go elsewhere to buy your TV, give me my 3500 back and I will be on my way.
I stated earlier that the 911 call was uncalled for but when you look at that womans picture, you should be able to tell you had better give her 2.95 back or you are in for a long night. Not sure but that ‘mean’ face looks like it is on a mug shot with her wearing an orange jump suit.
But then again, I am probably profiling and the picture was taken after she was offered something off the ‘dollar menu’.
If I pay for ???WHAT EVER!!!,,,AND,,,
I don't get what I pay for!!!,,,And,,,
They won't give me my $$$ back,,,(that I worked for),,,
I “WILL” get what I paid for or somebody “Will” be wearin’
Their ASS FOR A HAT!!!
Been There Done That!!!
because the cashier wouldn't
to report that a McDonald's employee
The manager just took my money
Employees normally cashier, managers do not. The woman said she couldn't snatch her money back, so obviously it's just ONE employee here.
If I'm unhappy with service of an employee, I call a manager, and any manager worth their salt would immediately refund the customer's money.
Sounds to me she didn't get what she wanted and had a temper tantrum. The bright side is I'm glad she has the good conscious to be embarrassed about it.
Maybe it will keep her from making such an ass out of herself in the future. :-)
I heard she called the Octomom’s fertility doctor and ordered the “9-piece” special.....
