A woman tells a Florida TV station that she's "embarrassed" by the attention she's received since calling 911 to report that McDonald's had run out of chicken nuggets.
She says that she called because the cashier wouldn't return her money. But authorities said that 911 calls are for emergencies and her situation was not an emergency.
According to the police report, Goodman called 911 three times Saturday to report that a McDonald's employee wasn't giving her a refund for the chicken nuggets she wanted.
"The manager just took my money and won't give me my money back, trying to make me get something off the menu that I don't want," Goodman said in one of the 911 calls. "I ordered chicken nuggets. They don't have chicken nuggets, and so I told her, 'Just give me my money back,' and she tells me I have to pick something else off the menu. She is not going to give me my money back, and she don't have the right to take my money."

She is a TYPICAL DEMOCRAT!
She should be examined by a psychologist and given some potent drugs for her problem. How many times did she vote for Obama?
With “taxpayers” like Ms. Goodman, now we know why the States are insolvent.
This woman's money making ploy didn't work, now she's sorry and will take what she can get.
SHe had no business calling 9-1-1, but she was right. The store owed her a refund.
Is there a personal limit?
If so, not all know this.... ; )
It sounds like she called the police to report a theft. What would you do if the manager refused to give your money back?
To be more accurate, the problem wasn't that McDonald's was out of McNuggets, but it was that they wouldn't give a refund when they were unable to handle an order that had been paid for already. The customer had a reasonable solution: "Give me back my money!" Instead McDonald's wanted to keep the cash. I don't know if I would have called 911 when a restaurant was stealing from me, but I sure would have either been enough of a pain in the ass that they would have either returned the money or called 911 on me.
“”The manager just took my money and won’t give me my money back, trying to make me get something off the menu that I don’t want,”
If this story is true — the issue is theft.
You let the cat out of the bag! SHHHH! LOL!!
I had the same thing happen to me at a Colonel Sanders a few years ago. I found the store knew they didn’t have what I wanted when I ordered but decided to give me something else. I looked inside the box and asked for a refund. The manager flat refused. I just started talking louder and louder until the other customers started to notice. I got my money back.
What was the ploy? It’s not like McDonald’s or any other merchant can just take your money and give you something you didn’t order. That’s called ROBBERY and is a crime.
I wonder if McDonald’s has the computer cash registers set up to be unable to give refunds??? Woman is an idiot.
Then, there are other options ~ like "obtaining satisfaction" with a civil suit. Could make some money there. Or, just "obtaining satisfaction". After all the manager has to come out of there some time! Anything could happen.
Tax me to compensate for McDonald's indiscretions and perhaps we all can live in Utopia without concern for McNuggets.
I'm sure the manager would have responded to a member of MS13 in a much different manner!

I don’t know, I wasn’t there, but it sounds like she called the police because she had been robbed. It obviously wasn’t an emergency, but it seems like a better course of action than the one I would have taken, which would certainly have gotten the police out there. “We don’t have what you ordered and paid for ma’am, but you can’t have your money back.” I’d be over the counter deep frying the managers private parts before I’d stand still for that. Your results may vary.
So you would prefer bringing in a professional torch late at night to teach them a lesson (or sumptin?)
