What's Barack Obama's 'Rush' to Make New Enemies?
Boston Herald ^ | Friday, March 6, 2009 - Updated 2m ago | Howie Carr

Barack Obama’s administration has uncovered a new Public Enemy No. 1.

Forget Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda. Obama and the pampered poodles on his staff are going after the real Mr. Big - Rush Limbaugh and his Excellence in Broadcasting network.

Does something seem a little . . . off, shall we say, about the moonbats’ newly rediscovered obsession with El Rushbo? From the War on Terror to the War on Talk Radio.

These limousine liberals have revitalized Rush. Suddenly he’s back to where he was in 1995, back when he had a TV show and best-selling books. I couldn’t be more pleased, because I have a vested interest in Rush Limbaugh’s success: He’s my lead-in. If Obama’s jihad means a lot of new listeners are “sampling” him (and it does), at least some of them may stick around at 3:06 when I come on.

Until two weeks ago, Rush was still on top, but he wasn’t as on top as he used to be, if you know what I mean. Too many afternoons he’d end up babbling about his private jet, or meander on and on about the Pittsburgh Steelers or George Brett.

No wonder Rush’s favorability rating among those under 40 had slid to 11 percent. Everything about him screamed “RICH OLD FART.” He still had his 600 stations, but he was slowly fading into a $30-million-a-year irrelevance.

Now he’s back. He’s No. 1 on the new White House Enemies List.

How long did it take Nixon to come up with his enemies’ list? At least three or four years. This Barack guy, he moves fast.

The Obamas are ignorant minimalists that, even after winning the White House, still think they're living in 'da hood! They're Washington's Most Wanted!

They act as if the highlight of their day is to plan a media drive-by on Rush-Sean-Levin-Savage-Ingraham-FR

Excuse me (reading the article) but Rush was NOT fading into a 30mil “irrelevance”, ain’t happening. Now, more than ever, we’re energized and I COULDN’T CARE LESS about the GOP, they’re useless.

Successfully getting rid of “all non-leftist activities” will seriously backfire on leftists big time!

This has been one of the great panics and scares in American history, rivalling Nativism , the Salem Witch Trials, Mothman, and the Jersey Devil. A bizarre liberal paranoid episode in orchestrated hysteria with Rush cast in the role of bogeyman. It's likely many of the participants are angry and bitter women with Post-Abortion Rage Sydrome and PETA fanatics suffering from low protein and B vitamin deficiencies.

If you follow the anti-Rush panic and break it down logically the best they can come up with in their arguments is basically this:
"There is this big fat guy who says mean things about us!"

To which conservatives should say, "So what? Turn the radio off or turn it to another station."

This is the liberal paranoid style. It's not new, it's not hope, and it's not change. It won't transform anyone and it won't lead to a new bipartisan era.

They need to take some niacin, B-12, eat some protein, and mellow out.

I was looking at one of the drawings of Obama on the WSJ that depicted him with that wide goofy smile. It made me think of the Joker in the Batman movies.

I’d like to see someone put the white face clown make-up of the joker on a picture of Obama. I wish that I had the skills to do it. If you know anyone who could create Obama as the joker, please pass the request on.

we may be so politically correct, that we are participating in our own demise, without effect resistance.

Rush is sounding the siren signal ... so ...they are out to marginalize/eliminate him ... watch and see what happens.

Rush WAS boring for a long time. He talked endlessly about football stars. I remember his justifying this by saying he was talking about people being “the best they can be.” Like going on for a whole hour about the guys painting the team logos on a football field.

The empty suit has no clothes. And like the Clinton family, the lady(?) wears the pants.

I am wondering if O sees Rush as a Karl Rove substitute, someone on whom the left can focus their hate, a rallying point for the F-troops.

Well, if that was the plan, it was a bad one. Unlike Rove, Rush has everything to gain from publicity and the Teleprompted 0ne can’t respond, Rush would crush him with or without the ‘prompter.

Also, I would argue that his attacks on Rush make it more difficult for him to sign a Fairness Doctrine bill. Then it looks like a personal vendetta. Bring it on.

Also Rush is buying time for the right wing. While Obama wastes his time attacking Rush the right can figure out who their new leaders will be, and what strategies to go after. Rush can try out literally hundreds of different tactics against The One. He doesn't have to be right every time, just entertaining. If one starts to get traction the right can adopt it and use it on The One. If the attack backfires, well it doesn't get on the GOP and Rush loves the attention.

Now the GOP being smart enough to make use of this gift Obama is handing them is another matter.

If the Dims want Rush to be the GOP leader, make it so, as far as I’m concerned. He would be s whole lot better than McLame, who I only voted for because of Sarah.
