I would have thought there was some type of person such as a secretary type whose job was to help in the picking out of gifts to VIP’s. I guess the reason I thought there was someone on staff to guide the President and his wife is because of all the diverse people they’ll meet with during Hussein’s tenure. There will be times because of cultural diversity when a present could be seen as a deliberate slap in the face.
Is it the Hindu’s who hold the cow as sacred? For some reason my mind isn’t working today and I can’t remember if that’s correct or not. Anyway, with Hussein’s lack of class I could see him presenting something made out of cowhide and holding an informal luncheon where beef was the main course thus causing extreme outrage.
Hussein has no sense of the tradition, proper decorum and class it takes to be president. What an embarassment he is!

We have a unique problem here, Scotland has devolved to its own Parliament, so England only controls its Defence and foreign policy, but all Scottish MP’s can vote on English matters so we now have the tail wagging the dog. What we basically need is the old Bush senior/Maggie Thatcher scenario and we would have a perfect world. But the terms he uses could mean ANGLES which the mainstay of the USA is in fact based on so lets hope he meant the coalition and we will be away with the mixer.In fact he does say that there would be an army of many and mentions the Spanish and French as being in it. I am sure the general populace of the UK have not written America off over one little snub from the Barmy one, after-all we are used to getting slagged off by the rulers of the Banana states that we left solvent but spent there way into poverty buying Russian tanks usually. My Aunt Annie was American so if I smudge her passport a bit can I have a go.

Thank you again. British graciousness only makes BO stink that much more. [One reporter complained about the smell of his campaign plane.] As for running for prez, you need to make friend with a terrorist, someone like Bill Ayers. You need to get into a sleazy property rights deal with someone like Rezko, and you need to find a nutcase preacher like Reverend Wright. Then you might stand a chance unless you are a republican who taps his toes in the bathroom — that’s a series scandal. Sure you want to go through all of that?

No offense, but Canadians wanted Obama in office far more than his own country did. Something like 70% of Canuks wanted Hussein Obama elected President, compared with 14% that wanted McCain. He drew similar amounts of "support" in England, and of course the American media continually beat us over the head with these numbers, convincing Americans that we HAD to elect Obama so the rest of the world will love us (Nevertheless, only 52% of Americans opted to vote for the guy).
Seems to me that 70% of your fellow citizens are doofus' to blindly support such an empty suit Marxist. Would they elect someone of such dubious background to run their nation -- let alone with 70% of the vote? Draw your own conclusions about why Obama is loved everywhere but his own country.
This is why the Canadians and Brits won't get any apology from me for Obama being a jackass to their countries. The overwhelmingly majority of them wanted him in power, and now they're gonna get him.

Sorry, rumrat, maybe YOU personally didn't want Obama to be President, but the VAST MAJORITY of your “fellow” Englishmen did. This wasn't just some random skewed left-wing poll, but survey after survey of every news source showing Obama was enormously popular in ALL of Europe, including the UK. The fact the America media hit us over the over with that fact over and over again certainly factored into Obama winning in the U.S. — imagine if Tony Blair had run for office in 1997 and you were constantly being told “the rest of the world” overwhemledly wanted the Conservatives to win and that a victory for Blair would make England the laughing stock of the world, as support for him was in single digits throughout the U.S., Canada, France, Germany, Spain, Australia, Russia, etc., etc. Just imagine how well Blair would have fared in the 1997 election if you were constantly being told “The rest the world” would hate you for electing him and would only be happy if you elected John Major, who the entire planet loves.
Remember, Obama only received 52% of the vote in the U.S., compared to 47% for McCain. John McCain wasn't even polling half of that in most European countries ... for some reason, the “average” U.K. citizen wouldn't be caught dead voicing support for another Republican to run the United States, and the “polls” showed Bush was absolutely despised there. Anyone who disliked Obama and had anything favorable to say about Bush was in extreme minority among British citizens.
So rumrat, maybe you personally didn't urge the election of Obama, but the fact is that the vast majority of your fellow Britons were head over the heels for the empty suit Marxist, with many of them constantly telling us that we were “idiots” for re-electing Bush in 2004 and the world would view us a joke who wasn't ready to rejoin them on the world stage UNLESS we elected Obama.
This does seem to be a particularly odd position for them to take, since I can't imagine the UK ever electing a prime minister who had only 143 days experience in Parliament and attended weekly sermons at a race-based church whose minister went on “God Damn Britain” rants, yet for some reason your fellow citizens wanted a person like that to run the United States.
And that is why I may feel bad that you personally feel insulted by Obama, but I certainly see no need to collectively “apologize” to England and especially not to Gordon Brown for Obama’s behavior. The Brits made it clear that they were gung-ho on wanting America to elect Obama (far more than Americans were), and now they get to see his “leadership” in action. Britian asked for Obama, Britain got Obama.
