two key points from the earlier discussion threads on this: 1) the DVDs were probably the wrong region code and thus unviewable on most equipment across the pond and 2) there is open speculation that these were re-gifted inaugural gifts and it would be really, really interesting to FOIA the Inaugural gift register. The cheap helicopters from the White House gift shop are beyond belief.

I just made telephone contact with my son-in-law in Italy. He is a computer expert (not to mention he graduated as an astrophysicist...Allow me some bragging time...Thank you.) He says “no way” can those DVDs be played (in reference to England). Yes, there are ways one can change whatever has to be changed so it can be watched if one gets someone who knows how to do it.
