Barney Frank accused of cooking books for gay lover Herb Moses
By Angie Anthony on September 26th, 2008

Barney Frank, who is openly gay, had a past romantic relationship with Herb Moses, an executive for Fannie Mae. Barney Frank’s involvement was alleged to have persuaded him to cook the books (finance accounts) for Fannie Mae.

The Washington Post reported this story in its Reliable Source column in July 3, 1998. By the time the story broke in The Washington Post, the newspaper admitted that Barney Frank and Herb Moses had broken up. However, this was conflicting as Barney Frank was heard referring to Herb Moses as his “spouse.” Another report from the same newspaper said Barney Frank called Herb Moses as his “lover”. The two men had remained friends despite the said breakup. The romantic affair ended around 1998, ten years ago.

Barney Frank is accused of misleading the officials about the finance situation in Fannie Mae because his friend (or spouse/lover) Herb Moses was a top executive in the mortgage firm. Herb Moses left Fannie Mae in 1998 and ended his relationship with Barney Frank at around the same time.

“5 years when you first learn of fraud”. Paraphrased
I don't believe the law has been changed and is 5 years from the act.

The LEFT wants to change the law. Here is their second recommended change in 2008, which wasn't passed. “Second, the legislation would extend the statute of limitations for five years after the end of the conflict. The statute of limitations today for criminal fraud offense is five years from the time of the offense, and this bill would just toll the running of the statute during the conflict itself and not a day longer.”

I left in their statement as to “conflict” to show why they want the change...to try Bush, military etc for fraud.

So “Bawney” may skate, I think he belongs in jail, but I would not want to see a Leftist vendetta against the Bush Administration.

(I did a quick Google to obtain the information, and I do not intend this as a criticism of your contention.) All JMO

House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.) wants the culprits in the financial crisis punished, and he’s asking for both criminal and civil investigations.

“Rules don’t work if people have no fear of them,” Frank said at a news conference Thursday.

Frank announced a hearing March 20 with Attorney General Eric Holder, bank regulators and the Securities and Exchange Commission as witnesses to discover what their plans are to prosecute irresponsible — and, in some cases, criminal — behaviors.

Frank says he isn’t looking for names, but he does “want all the people with enforcement power — state and federal — in that room.”

Frank also announced that two financial entities either have returned or are planning to return a total of $7.6 billion worth of Troubled Asset Relief Program funds, including Northern Trust, which returned $1.6 billion to the feds after taking heat for sponsoring a PGA tournament after taking TARP money.

Spoken like a true liberal - rule with an iron fist. Just sounds a little out-of-place coming from Bawney Fwank.

And let us not forget what Raham orchestrated in exposing Foley while covering up and over Barney. I do not believe for one minute Raham did not know what Barney was up to. Amazing how powerful just one member of 435 can be when liberals, yellow and blue close ranks.

Appears the stimuli was crucial for election 2010, because these people broke the proverbial bank for election 2006 and 2008.

Barney Frank should remember what happened to the openly gay folks in the Nazi regime ... specifically the SA chief.

Night of the Long Knives will arrive here eventually ... bank on it. Barney Frank as an American Rohm? Not outside possibility.

Agreed----this little twerp Rahm is one of the most cunning, crafty, scheming individuals we have had in government in a long time.

He makes Clinton look like an altar boy.

These people laugh at gov’t of, by, and for, the people.

It's all about Me, Myself and I----they matriculated at the School of Whatever Works For Me.

Thank you for that reply. I could have not done it better. I am going to put on my reading glasses, sit on my favorite ass, and contemplate this.
