President Barack Obama appealed Saturday to his fellow citizens to endure, find opportunity in these hard times and ultimately prosper from the challenge.
"That is what we can do and must do today. And I am absolutely confident that is what we will do," Obama said in his weekly radio and video address, taped on Friday at the White House.
On Saturday morning, the president and first lady Michelle Obama flew by helicopter to the presidential retreat in Camp David, Md., for the weekend. Their daughters, Sasha and Malia, traveled to Camp David separately, the White House said.

ZERO continues to MAKE THE CRISES. No American could believe that the DEMOs could PUSH for the destruction of the economy by giving mortgages to people who can not possibly afford them. THEN you claim DISCRIMINATION if the mortgage company won’t lend.
Then when the economy starts to crash, Americans put the criminals in CHARGE to FIX the mess the radicals made.
Then the criminals (sometimes called Democrats) put the country in even worse debt to keep the people in houses they can’t afford.
Then Americans are trying to figure out if this guy is a socialist.
Naw, he’s a radical communist. Republicans are still trying to reach across the aisle to “compromise.”

Yes! And it seems every weekend is playtime at Camp David or some other relaxing retreat type spot. Party on, dude!
I doubt our side will take much more of this from him without revolt — it’s already unseemly — imagine months (years?) of this behavior. Thank you, NO.
