I will concede that they work differently. But they shouldn’t be regulated. No guns, knives, or other weapons should be regulated. Their natural role is to protect civilians from their government’s force. You need anything you can afford for that.

Tax evasion. Too bad they got arrested, they sound like they just passed a major requirement to be eligible for a cabinet appointment in the Obama administration.

were responsible for the deaths of the 74 men, women and children who died in the inferno at Waco on April 19, 1993. This is the story that the FBI put out.

It is a lie. The guns they had were legal. The local sheriff investigated and found no basis for complaints against them. These were law-abiding American citizens, even if they thought differently to most other folks.

They trusted the U.S. Constitution to ensure their political rights, but they were murdered by agents acting under the authority of the U.S. government. Read this page if you believe otherwise.

If you still have doubts, get the video Rules of Engagement for visual evidence. Or read the book Armageddon in Waco. Or see the film Waco: A New Revelation.Or more exactly, a public which would appear to consist mostly of gullible idiots, with no sense of injustice (except when it affects themselves), believing what they were told (with the help of a willing media) by their ill-informed, ill-advised and violence-obsessed (and, as it turned out, murderous) government,

a public which overwhelming approved of a shameful instance of government-sanctioned slaughter of people who had broken no law (it is legal to protect oneself against attack), including twenty-one children under the age of 16:

I’ve seen the movie. This has nothing to do with Waco. Why are you calling tax cheats and money launderers “patriots”?

Sounds like a “Republic of Texas” bunch we had down here in west Texas a few years ago. Ended up an armed standoff with an old armored personel carrier the local sheriff had along with state patrol folks. A couple escaped into the rugged hills but I think one was caught and another died from exposure. Others either surrendered or were captured.

Would file liens on strangers property, did not pay taxes, had all types of weapons including full automatics and had all kinds of paperwork and stuff declaring independence from Texas.

They sound like and are criminals.

Hopefully, you feel the same about the criminals who have been elected to Congress and have been stealing from the American people for decades.

Look, a machinegun is, due to its relatively greater effect, a concealed weapon even if you have it hanging on the wall in your bedroom.

I really don't care to live around them particularly since so few pople know how to use them properly.

Remember the Waco event? You had folks going into battle with what amounted to "automatic rifles" that "rotated" just a hair (in the hands of women) ~ and when the guns did that they shot their own team-mates on the roof.

Machineguns "rotate" ~ the slightest bit of misuse or casualness with a real machinegun causes massive levels of damage.

They are so far outside the realm of "human scale" handling capability I am sure they will eventually be replaced with something that fires slower, but is lighter, and doesn't rotate.

Weaver was more optimistic than I am. More forgiving, too. In 1995, Congressional hearings into the Weaver tragedy revealed a cover-up, but the feds refused to prosecute the killers of Sammy and Vicki Weaver. Case closed. And despite all the evidence of government wrongdoing, those of us who now mention the name Randy Weaver are generally dismissed as “right-wing, gun-toting, conspiracy nuts.”

Obama should talk to Lindsey. He’s qualified to be on Obama’s cabinet.
