It is being done because most if not all of the managers live across the border in Calexico, CA and are almost paralyzed with fear going across on a daily basis. The threat of kidnapping and outright murder is rising to an unbearable level. US citizens and naturalized citizens are increasingly staying on this side of the border requiring family from Mexico to come north for visitation, the opposite of what had been routine all these years.

I lived in Mexico for two years and was kidnapped twice, both times by taxi drivers.

What these morons did not understand is that I grew up on the lower East-side of Detroit. After I realized I was not going where I should I told them to take where I wanted to go or I would kick their ass and steal their car and go anywhere I wanted.

Both times they apologized and took me to work. But I under stand the concern

Now they have "express" kidnapping where they drive you to an ATM and withdraw as much money as possible. The total ordeal is about 20 minutes
