Bush vs Obama poll numbers - March 2001 Gallup GWB - 69%, Rasmussen Obama - 56% (GWB up 13)
Gallup, Rasmussen | 3-8-09

Posted on 3/8/2009, 5:14:26 PM by utahson

6 weeks into their perspective administrations, had GWB leading 13 percentage points higher than Obama. GWB's poll numbers were higher in comparison to Obama's, EVEN after stealing the presidency (SARCASM) and ticking off half the nation. How can this be? All the liberal media told us Obama was the one to lead us to a brighter future. Obama poll numbers are in a free fall.

This is why it’s laughable when the MSM and the Dems point to Obama’s approval numbers as vindication of his policies.

At this rate Obama will have Bush’s last terms polling numbers by the time Congressional elections come around.

I would only be laughable if it wasn't helping them push their marxist's agenda through.

Your point is a good one though. This was just after we were told Bush had stolen the election and the country was divided...yet Bush had higher approval than Obama does now.

They need to push them through now because it won’t be politically feasible in the not too distant future.

The Gap between his rhetoric and his competence is showing. Case in point "No earmarks".

If the Market keeps going where I think it is headed, i.e., Down (With, to be fair, a few "Fits and Starts") even many of his robots will turn - About the only Silver Lining to our Economic Cloud.

Bush also went up to 86% approval on Gallup’s poll right after 9/11. Obama will NEVER see 86% approval.

GW was likable and his likability polls never really did drop. Bozo is not likable and his hate shines through.

Libs govern by polls. They drop another 5-10pts and they will stop this nonsense. Now is the time to go get them.

Pray for America, Our Troops and obama’s Failure

Historical benchmarks are our friends . . . THANK YOU for this information.

An additional benchmark:

After 911, it took BIG education, BIG media, BIG entertainment, and BIG Soros THREE YEARS to drive President Bush’s JA rating below 60%. It’s taken Obama less than TWO MONTHS with ALL of the BIGs on his side!

Actually, President Bush’s JA rating soared to 92% . . . and you’re right, Obama’s will NEVER get close to that level!

GWB up 13 percentage points but 69% is a 23% higher approval over 56%.

Hopefully, so will the incumbents. We need to clean house big time in 2010. Arch conservative or FORMER House member...

When making layoff decisions, be sure to lay off as many Obama supporters as you legally can. They need to understand the grown-up world and there is no better way than being unemployed during a recession. Elections have consequences in grown-up land...

Obama will NEVER see 86% approval.

He might make 86% disapproval, though.

Given Obama as President, I shudder for America’s future.

The man is an extreme socialist and nothing will change his mind.
