Last week, Barack Obama trivia was a featured category on the game show "Jeopardy." This was a fitting metaphor because the favor is being returned to all Americans. We're all in a lot more jeopardy than we were just a few weeks ago.
Did anyone else sense a dramatic increase in the speed of our collective national downhill skid just in the past week? The government continues to shovel more of our money, and that of future generations, toward fixing problems that have been caused by the government shoveling money toward fixing problems. If hearing that doesn't confuse you in a *Boxersecond, nothing will.
*Boxersecond: The miniscule amount of time between someone saying the word "abortion" to when Sen. Barbara Boxer runs into the room with a Planned Parenthood coupon book.
Like you, I was also comforted by the fact that our Treasury secretary, Tim Geithner, has been assigned to find and punish tax cheats. If you saw him trying to put handcuffs on himself, that may have been the reason...
