I work in engineering, and things aren’t great, but they are hardly dire, yet.

It’s pretty tough where I live. Jobs are there, but so are applicants. I have a friend who just landed a job in software project management after being out of work for 3 months. The company’s HR told him he was one of 200 applicants.
I’ve been out of work for six weeks and I know I will land something, but it is taking much longer than last year this time.
