Let’s just transfer those guys from Gitmo into max security federal prison. Mix them in with the general prison population. Maybe a prison in NY state. Problem solved.
It took FDR seven weeks to arrest, detain, interrogate, try by military commission, facilitate appeals to the Supreme Court, and execute the Germans who landed on Long Island.
There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for not hanging every single Gitmo detainee by 2005 at the latest.

The five detainees at Guantánamo Bay realize how good they have it at Gitmo. When Gitmo goes, so do they to less accommodating facilities.
