Why all of a sudden his love for his Kenyan grandfather? He has never mentioned him that I am aware of. Despite that he should never endanger our relationship with our staunchest ally for personal vendettas.

Terri, I think you are right on......Obama harbors ill feelings about the Brits because of Kenya....among other things (Colonialism). Obama is a NASTY person.....so is Omarosa Obama.

And the list just keeps getting bigger. I hear that Obama’s announced we'll be reaching out to the “moderate” Taliban in Afghanistan. Maybe he'll have Hillary present them with a few gifts in order to break the ice - a suicide bomb vest with a “reset” button and a few model airplanes for their kids (they can simulate 9-11 all over again)!

So someone found out they cost $4.11?

Oh dear, I was hoping they were at least overpriced at $19.95.

The Winston Churchill Bust was given to the President after 9/11, obviously George Bush did not think it was a personal gift or he would have taken it with him. By leaving it at the White House, he made it a gift to the people. How dare that POS, return it. OMG, Obama makes me want to puke.

First of all, he cancelled a joint press conference because of snow flurries, then he didn’t offer PM Brown a formal dinner as tradition, nor did he even offer him some lunch.

Then, after getting two priceless gifts (see article) and a gift worth thousands, he gives the PM a DVD box set including titles like “ET, Psycho, etc..”

Then, after the PM’s wife gave the Obama daughters pricey London boutique dresses and matching necklaces, Michelle Obama sends her home to give the Brown’s two boys plastic helicopter replicas from the White House gift shop of a helicopter that the US just cancelled the contract for (costing the UK millions) building.

I’m sure I’ll remember something else included in this ridiculously embarassing “snub”. This was far beyond a “snub”, this was a punch in the nose.

Oh yeah, and after a London journalist called the state dept to question it, (keep in mind, this country has troops fighting OUR WAR) the state dept official told the journalist “You aren’t any different than any of the other 190 countries in the world”.

“You aren’t any different than any of the other 190 countries in the world”.

I did not realize that his staff said that!

Lord Have Mercy, this administration is a nightmare.

The implicit deal was that by putting our first black President in office, America would prove once and for all that it wasn't racist

I will have to admit that Obama has caused me to become a racist.
That's because every time I see a black person, I am reminded of the hordes of blacks who were otherwise disinterested in voting, turning out just to put this baffoon into office, not knowing a damn thing about him and caring less.
Now the 5 years before my retirement has turned into 15 or more or never, and I can't help but apply my disgust of Obama and Democrats in general to every dark face that crosses my path.

There. I said it.

They do made region code free DVD players that play all. More expensive but still widely available. It would be more likely that anyone important in the UK would have one to see US/Canada and Australian disks.

Neither is very good when the person viewing it is blind in one eye and vision in the other is greatly diminished.

Story at link

Gordon Brown's eyesight is causing concern among aides

0bama can't even do simple research on a gift, much less a cabinet appointee.

It's even worse than that.

See my post #74.

Prime Minister Brown is blind in one eye and losing his sight in the other eye.

Giving him a set of DVD's is like giving an iPod to Helen Keller.

The bust was a “loan” only in the sense that it was sent here to the White House after 9/11. Brown explained that it was sent by the UK to symbolize support in the War on Terror. Bambi said, we still wanted to return it.

This list points out the dilemma of making lists in general. Some things may seem worth including to some and not others. I try (emphasize try) to keep to facts that are directly connected to Obama. A gaffe by Hillary does not seem to qualify to me.

Anyways, the beat goes on.

Not to worry.....He will do exactly what Pelosi and the Democrats tell him to do. A better servant they couldn’t have.

"Despite that he should never endanger our relationship with our staunchest ally for personal vendettas"

Of course, I agree with your statment above, and my comment about it all being about Obama implies that. His behavior toward Britain and Brown was completely unprovoked and thus outrageous and I am still incredulous. I have never heard of such inappropriate and trite behavior from a president toward a staunch American ally in my lifetime.

Yours was the first explanation I thought of when I heard the story - recall Obama's comments about the U.S. dictating other countries instead of "listening" to them.

Then when reading about Obama's grandfather, it clearly became the correct explanation.
