It was also championed as a domestic priority by President Barack Obama and congressional Democrats during the 2008 campaign. The EFCA would undercut the idea of a secret ballot in unionization drives and guarantee mandatory arbitration of many initial collective bargaining agreements. Canada’s experience with card check illustrates how it could further hobble the U.S. economy.

Blue Dogs oppose this. It is a lot of scare talk. EFCA will not pass.

The idea of card check is to make it easier to get unions into companies. That’s all it’s about.

The problem is that we let them get away with these Orwellian names.

Freedom is Slavery. War is Peace.

Freedom of Choice act is the opposite of what it is called. We have to call it what it is- the End Of Secret Ballots act.

I’m going to start a movement. No new legislation unless it is directly linked to the economy until they straigten this mess out.

The American people shouldn’t have to worry themselves to death about what congress is going to heap on them next when they are already basket cases over the economy.

Stop the politics and stop the policies! No new legislation!
