Rain or Shine, Environmentalists Want to Control Us
Fox News ^ | March 11, 2009 | Dan Gainor

This is the winter of environmentalists’ discontent. They desperately want the earth to be warming to prove Al Gore’s truth inviolate and they are going to make you pay thousands of dollars for it no matter whether it’s true or not.

But the weather has been inconveniently cold. Thirty-two states have experienced record or near-record lows this winter –- poking holes in the predictions of imminent fiery doom. Just ask the die-hard global warming activists who showed up in Washington last week to protest the nation’s use of coal. Their event was hampered by nearly a foot of snow in the nation’s capital –- enough to freeze out luminaries like Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

The climate debate isn’t just about temperature, European Union President Vaclav Klaus told the gathering of scientists and public policy experts at the International Conference on Climate Change. He said “environmentalists want to change us and our behavior” because “their mission is control.”

Still, there they were, a couple thousand idiots standing in a winter wonderland, chanting about global warming. What’s amazing is that NASA’s climate chief James Hansen was part of this foolishness. Here we have a man who the left keeps telling us is so smart we need to listen to everything he says and he doesn’t have the public relations sense of a freshman communications major.

They are starting to switch to their next green house gas scam because we’ve been having cold winters and they look like morons marching with signs in snow about global warming. The next junk science scam = Acid Oceans.

His cap-and-trade proposal is already on deck despite criticism that it will cost an already damaged economy an average of $2,180 a year.

I think some words were left out of this sentence.

I think so too but I think we both got the drift.

And I want a new government that will negate all the evil being churned out of the Marxist White House and one that will place ‘Environmentalism’ on the list of subversive organizations that must go....OR ELSE!

As Rush has pointed out a million times, “environmentalism” is really just a hangout for old commies. It’s bogus as hell.

Whatever happened to The Pickens Plan? Is T. Boone Pickens going to get his Gazillion Dollars to put windmills in West Texas?

I think we should run a sweep on the next junk science scam. They tend to rotate about every five-six years. Before global warming there were holes in the Ozone layer, before that there was acid rain, before that it was global cooling, before that over population, and so on...

So, Proud_USA_Republican is going for Acid oceans.
I’ll put myself down for volcanoes.

Anyone else?

IIRC, volcanoes can contribute to acidity in the oceans.

We need thousands of people to hold press events where they go to the shore with litmus paper and show the actual pH of the water. Every diver should upload their underwater videos to YouTube to show the teeming variety of healthy sea life. We should do this day in and day out until they look like the fools they are.

Carbon cap and trade may sail through Congress, but it will be the death of the US economy. Perhaps when all those Obama voters can no longer afford to light, air condition or even heat their homes; have to stand in long lines for their $5 per gallon gas and can’t blame “big oil” for the price increase and many have lost their jobs because their employers can no longer afford to stay in business they will realize what a farce this whole global warming thing has been.

volcanoes can do a lot of things. I was more thinking of a “supervolcano” type event that blows half of nevada into space or whatever.
