Of course he's a socialist. The real question is, how does he feel about America? His favorite Sunday preacher for the last twenty years is simply obsessed with a frothing hatred for this country. His good buddies Bill and Bernardine have been expressing their rage loud and proud since the Sixties. As president, O is trying to put Chas Freeman in charge of the National Intelligence Estimates, a man who is neither competent, nor temperamentally suited, nor emotionally able to restrain his animosity against American Jews who love Israel just as they love America (... because, for one thing, they love democracy, and can recognize fascists even in drag.)
Newsweek tells us we're all socialists now. That's an obvious lie, because the Newsweek socialists like Evan Thomas suffer from regular nightmares that American conservatives will find another Ronald Reagan. But that raised the question of socialism. Obama danced away from it, of course, when a NYT reporter actually asked him. Whoooo me?

I see him as the Ted Baxter of American politics. Take away his handlers and teleprompters and he is revealed as a bumbling fool.

He is not incompetent. He is not an idiot. He, like so many extra intelligent people, is a socialist/communist because he believe that those high IQ types know how we should all live and it is their duty to make us all live that way, even if most of us have to be removed from society in order for society to be as they think it could be if all the dissidents and people who don’t understand could be neutralized, removed from society.

Whitaker Chambers put it another way.The Working Class tends to be socialist in its thinking. The middle class are democratic and freedom oriented. The upper class, those who never had to work for their money or who made it quickly and easily, are communists. Those at the top economically do tend to be the highest IQ people in the society, whether they inherited their wealth or got it, as Soros did, because of genius and intuition in certain remunerative fields. They do not connect wealth with labor and savings because it came too them so easily. They think it is part of the Ether and you just have to see how to reach out and grab off a chunk, or that government can create it by fiat.

He is neither incompetent or a master schemer. He is a Marxist, dare I say, a communist, and he is working hard for the Revolution. He knows that he has to get as much by Congress and in place as he can very quickly because he will eventually run into a wall and will have all the basic stuff he is going to get for the time being. The point of the Stimulus was NOT to help the economy at all. It was to get the first great hunk of Socialized Medicine irretrievably into the system and to get direct control of the Finance system, get control of the ballot box(ACORN) etc. All the “pork” is just the bribery for getting those things by and rewards to his supporters to keep them supporting him in the Revolution. Once Amnesty is passed (that is not certain) his Party will be in easy permanent control. ACORN and its DoJ backing may well be sufficient for that but Amnesty will make it easy and sure.

carter was much smarter than Obama and he didn’t lead us to the USSA. he did tank the economy big time, however.
Obama is clearly incompetent. never had a real job in his life. never ran anything. He’s too tired...doesn’t want to work very hard. All he wants to do is sign bills that his democrat congress passes.
