The NOT Rush Limbaugh Show Thread - Thursday, March 12, 2009 (Guest Host Jason Lewis)

AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

We love to hear Rush Limbaugh,
Excellence in Broadcasting.
From sea to shining sea,
Millions and millions listen.
Conservative voice of freedom,
Heard throughout all America.
A message pure and truthful,
The downhearted are encouraged.
Integrity and honesty his motto.
We love you, Rush.
Listen to Rush Limbaugh.
G-d Bless you, Rush Limbaugh.

Here’s an excerpt of what I sent out to my email list this morning if anyone is interested.

“....in the liberal world, science is the handmaiden of politics, not truth. ...”

The unhealthy/unbalanced secular left, for which politics is their substitute religion, orients their lives around politics 24/7.

As unbelievers, their substitute religion (politics) is perverted. (One of their deliberate perversions is to misrepresent the poor of Scripture as the proletariat of Karl Marx and then pretend that if they can get enough taxes out of you they can “win the war on poverty”)

Every leftist politician arrives with the perverse gospel that, “it’s not your fault! You are a victim! Don’t be responsible for your life! Liberty is a pernicious illusion anyway! Transfer your power to me, and I will rescue you!”

“The ultimate purpose of politics should be to preserve the radical spiritual revolution of the American founders, so that humans may evolve inwardly and upwardly.

But the left does not value spiritual liberty but horizontal equality. Once you recognize this distinction, you will see how it animates nearly every one of their domestic policies. To the extent that they value freedom at all, it is only the shadow version of true liberty represented by license — which is generally much closer to vice than it is to liberty. Just as our freedom to know is only meaningful if we use it to conform ourselves to truth, our liberty is only meaningful if we use it to conform to virtue.

For example, when we say that politics must be grounded in something that isn’t politics, we are simply reflecting the philosophy at the heart of the American Revolution, that the sacred rights of mankind, as expressed by Alexander Hamilton, are written in human nature “by the hand of Divinity itself, and can never be erased by mortal power.” In short, human beings possess a “spiritual blueprint” that is antecedent to politics, and which it is the task of politics to protect, preserve and nurture.

Here again, this idea is entirely foreign to the left, which is a wholly materialistic philosophy. For them, the purpose of politics is hardly to preserve and protect our liberty, but to impose ideological conformity and to diminish freedom through government intervention. There is probably no place less intellectually — let alone, vertically — free than liberal academia, which eliminates dissent through political correctness and speech codes.

Top of second hour he’s replaying his segment on the separation of powers, why we don’t have a king, etc. It was so good the first time I heard it I hope to download it for my nephew who is home-schooled.

Hi...and thx for the non-Rush pingy. At Rush’s string of “bad” things happening when he is away seems to be broken. So we only have to miss Rush and (at least for me) pine for Mark Steyn to be the guest host. And yes, I know its Jason Alexanderrrr (yawning...)

Sigh. Me too. Jeez, Rush, we love ya, but between all the days you're sick and all the days you play golf, you're starting to keep the schedule of a public school teacher!

1. Our liberty is from God not the Government.
2. Our sovereignty is in our souls not the soil.
3. Our security is through strength not surrender.
4. Our prosperity is from the private sector not the public sector.
5. Our truths are self evident, not relative.
