Anybody who doesn’t see that the “fix” was in for McCain is blind. Fred’s a pragmatic guy, he saw the writing on the wall and had better things to do. If we would revamp our primary system so that a handful of liberal leaning states wouldn’t be able to pick our candidates in the first 2 weeks we’d get better candidates. Why the hell does Iowa and New Hampshire get to pick for the whole damn country????
And the truth is Fred saw that America wasnt mature enough to elect him. They voted for a superstar instead.
Fred was still the best man up there.
I would not consider Iowa or New Hampshire liberal states- at least with Republicans. McCain was near the bottom in Iowa. It was South Carolina that put McCain in frontrunner status. Following SC, it was Crist's 11th hour endorsement of McCain in Florida, the open primaries, and Huckabee staying in the race (after he had zero chance after losing SC) that sealed it for McCain.
And the rnc isn’t changing a thing. What to do?
