Anti-War Lawyers Want To Bar Bush From Canada
Montreal Gazette ^ | 3/13/09

Posted on 03/12/2009 12:46:20 PM PDT by steve-b

A lawyers' group has asked the RCMP to bar former U.S. president George W. Bush from entering Canada, citing torture and war crimes committed in Iraq, Afghanistan and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

In a letter to the RCMP war crimes section and copied to Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff and other ministers and MPs, the Lawyers Against the War group claims Bush is "inadmissible to Canada ... because of overwhelming evidence that he has committed, outside Canada, torture and other offences" as detailed in Canada's War Crimes Act.

Bush is expected to visit Calgary March 17 to give a speech as a guest of the city's chamber of commerce.

MY response to them: prove it!

And oh by the way, when was the last time Canada was hit with a terrorist attack?

"...overwhelming evidence that he has committed, outside Canada, torture and other offences"

Then it's okay to commit torture and other offenses inside Canada?

No indictment, no charge, no conviction, therefore no crime. Tell the Canucks ambulance chasers to go pound snow.

The Liberals do that every time Canadians are stupid enough to hand them political power at the federal or provincial level.

That’s all right because the head of Canada asked Barack Obama not to visit until he had removed the Buy American restrictions from the stimulus bill. He went anyway, but he took the Sierra club protesters along with him.

The Kosovo War was illegal, but I don’t see anyone trying to stop Bill Clinton from going into Canada.

President Bush really should visit Campobello this summer just to blow the leftie Canandian's minds. It's run by both the US and Canada.

While lawyers generally are the scum of the earth and do far more harm then they do good, this group seems to be going for the award of most ignorant assclown lawyers on the planet.

The terrorists that succeed in killing thousands via bombs, IED’s, airplanes, suicide bombs and machine guns are considered “mis-undestood” yet saving lives makes Lib attorneys go wild.

I went to Canada once, in 1976. The police stopped me and told me I had to put on my seat belt. I have not been back. Unfortunately the same Big Brother mentality lives in the US as well. What a pity. Anyhow, Bush won’t exactly miss a whole lot if he stays in Texas.
