Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they may be saved.

Israel needs to put a peace plan on the table with final land status for the world to see.

this battle goes all the way back to Ishmael and Issac. There will forever be a battle between them until the Lord returns.

Since 2005, more than 6,000 rockets have rained down on Israeli cities from Gaza. In a display of remarkable restraint, only after three years and thousands of unprovoked attacks did Israel finally feel sufficiently justified to launch a defensive response.Making it sound like a virtue. It is not. This is the problem. As long as Israel behaves with "remarkable restraint" and other such insanity labeled virtuous, it will be treated like an alien and insane entity.
It's hard enough for individuals to survive practicing virtues like restraint, patience, brotherly love, and charity; when states practice them, they shouldn't survive.
A government's duty, its reason for being, is to protect and serve its people. Israel needs to muscle up and stop trying to be lambs in a lion world.

That would be great. However, with most of their neighbors and in fact most of the world against their very existence, I pray that Bibi will secure their homeland before entering into any plan that the UN desires.

The more Israel yields, the more her enemies see blood in the water, and the harder they fight. Those who might otherwise sit on the sidelines (and have anti-semetic tendecies anyway) see a chance to jump on the bandwagon. Its that simple.

Just substitute Israel for the President and Hamas for the alien.
PRESIDENT: Can we negotiate a truce? is there room for coexistence? (no answer) Can there be peace between us?
OKUN/ALIEN: Peace? No peace.
PRESIDENT: What do you want us to do?
OKUN/ALIEN: Die, die.

One of the only reasons I might add. Good point!

Both sides look at perpetual war as win-win. The longer war lasts the more land Israel acquires. And Hamas thinks the longer war lasts, the more enemies Israel creates.

I think Israel's new administartion realizes what you say.

the more land Israel acquires Israel hasnt acquired land in decades
they keep giving it away in the hope that it will assuage their enemies and bring peace to the area.

I agree overall with your comment as it relates to war in general. In my opinion, the Israel situation is special in that it involves centuries of history that proves prophesy.

“this battle goes all they way back to Ishmael and Issac.”
I agree...
But it's roots can be traced back even further to the Garden Of Eden.
After the fall of Adam, the old serpent was told by God that the Messiah would come through the woman's seed...
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed;”
The old serpent knew that Christ would come through the Jews and he tried to destroy them before His birth, and he's been trying to exact his revenge ever since.
The Muslim world is Satanically controlled there's no doubt.

One can only hope. Being in charge changes people, however. I was kinda shocked when Sharon took the dovish turn that he did. I expected Olmert to be a weakling, but certainly not Sharon (of all people).

Why is that exactly? Has any of Israel’s concessions made a bit of difference to “the World”. No—and it won’t. The only possible way “the World” will say nice things about Israel is if they voluntarily cease to exist. The only way Israel can come close to winning the PR battle is to say strong and defeat their enemies. In the end, the world is a tough place—strength is respected, weakness is not. Land for peace is a suicidal sham.

Israel is not acquiring more land!

Bibi has been in charge before. His appointment of Lieberman as foreign minister to me means he's getting down to business. With Hussein 0bama in our white house, I think Bibi knows his 6 is bare - hence his appointment of those who support his views no matter if they tell Egypt to “Go to hell”.

I believe most of the world, including the US, will abandon Israel which will encourage Russia, Iran and other Arab countries to attack her. See Ezekiel, Chapts. 38 & 39. God is still in charge.

I totally disagree. It’s not up to Israel at this time. It’s up to Gaza. Israel has done all that should be required. Gaza, today, is like South Central Los Angeles............a ghetto.
