That’s because they aren’t in Spanish.
This sound LA Times sour grape article LOL!
On the other hand, the LA Times is ... well, they're tanking even faster.
A lot of this is dated...more Alinsky isolate and conquer...
The harder the LAT looks to place lies and fear is the amount of their own fear...
Talk radio is fine, the Lib side of media is dying.
Is the author in a TIME WARP? Melanie Morgan is BACK ON KSFO....what an idiot...
I don’t know much about the names on that list except Larry Elder. I liked him, but he really wasn’t that entertaining. Kind of reminded me of Air America. Bland with no real insights that made you think.
Just another example of the one-hand-clapping left, celebrating themselves.
Most conservatives have given up on that sewer and have abandoned the joint. They are listening to conservative talk radio in the states where they are now living. Like the old Soviet Union, Cauliphonya is a hopeless, basket case. It now needs the U.S. taxpayers to pay for all of its social programs.
This is news?
Except for Rush.
Melanie Morgan eliminated from a 3-person radio show, which is probably tough to justify, economically; tho’ I’m glad to have heard her sit in for Officer Vic last Friday, and she’ll be there Monday. I like Mel, Lee Rogers benefits from having her there, IMO.
Roger Hedgecock has been getting a little “diffuse” lately, to my ear.
And then there’s that Rush guy.
No mention of Sean or Levin or Boortz.
I have little doubt that some of the lesser names are getting weeded out, but in my completely unscientific opinion, the total conservative talk audience is rising and concentrating on the “front benchers”.
Oh yeah, did I mention Rush?
For myself Limbaugh's show is the only one I find interesting and thought provoking.
this is just the los angeles times,
now going bankrupt,
throwing rocks at conservatives.
they forgot to mention that rush is getting bigger.
they forgot to mention that john and ken are palin-hating liberals.
i like roger hedgecock.
Seeing as I live in the LA area, this article seems to be a moot point that is trying to sap the morale of conservatives. Ok, we lost Larry Elder, but as one commenter above said, he wasn’t that entertaining. What replaced him? Mark Levin. Darn, now I get to hear him at 3:00PM instead of 10:00PM. There is a legitimate story about talk radio in general in LA shutting down. 97.1 FM, which was the entertainment variety talk station went under because they couldn’t pay the hosts anymore. That sucked because I really liked Adam Corolla, but as far as conservative talk goes in LA, all is well.
That’s because most of the conservatives have long-since departed SF...thus, no audience.
The takers outnumber the givers in CA by a wider margin every day. That is why the state is imploding. They don’t listen to conservative talk as much as they used to because they are too busy lining up to listen up.
“in some cases replacing them with cheaper nationally syndicated programs.”...Like RUSH!
And this from a newspaper that is losing subscribers at an alarming rate. LOL Any guesses why? Because talk radio has outed them for being Pravda on the Pacific.
Certainly no bias here...
Most talk shows -- the local guys -- aren't worth listening to.
That's why they stay local, and some don't even last in the same place very long.
And most people can spot quality -- good or bad -- pretty well.
It's not quite the same in print.
A lot of lousy newspapers have stayed in business for years.
Until lately, anyway.
