No, it was of a similar sort of evil to Columbine, though on a larger scale. The realization that commercial airliners could be used as weapons, analysis of the the weaknesses in our airline security system, and tactical execution were brilliant. Deprecating the virtues that evil men twist and misuse to the service of evil as if they were not virtues at all leaves the good man partially disarmed in the face of evil.

Sorry, I just can’t equate slaughtering sheep to brilliance. Had the raggies infiltrated Camp Pedleton and destroyed the Marine Corp’s ability of world wide deployment at a moment’s notice, that would have been brilliant. Slaughtering innocent civilians not party to a conflict is just plain cowardly. Not brilliant.
