It’s not just that he was the most powerful man in the legislature, it’s that he was so arrogant about his corruption. His attitude was “so I’m corrupt, so what?”

Even worse was the local media’s good-ol-boy treatment of the guy, as if he were a competitor on the Survivor TV show. “Well, he lied, cheated, and stole, but you gotta hand it to him, he really knows how to play the game.”

Exactly. Fumo is arrogant and corrupt to the core. Philly media does want to treat him like a good ol boy...like Vince is some kind of scrappy Philly street kid made good. Uh, not so much. He’s a corrupt Philadelphia Democrat who finally got what he deserved. Let’s hope he’s just the first in a long line of corrupt Philly Dems getting put away.
