Story #3: Thousands Turn Out for Tea Party in Cincinnati
RUSH: Have you seen the news of the tea party in Cincinnati over the weekend? Thousands of people showed up. These tea parties are blossoming and growing all over the fruited plain. People are fed up, and I'll tell you what, it's not about bonuses to AIG people. That's not why these tea parties are taking place. These tea parties -- God love you people doing them. These tea parties are taking place because people are tired of paying the freight for people who refuse to work, they're tired of paying mortgages for people who are making no effort to pay them. They are tired of bailing out failed companies. They are tired of things like unions and card check being forced on small business. These tea parties are a direct result of an outrage at this administration for trying to wipe out the fundamental building blocks of this nation's founding. That's what's under assault, capitalism and this nation's founding, and that's what these tea these tea parties are all about. They're not happening because of bonuses to people that work at AIG. One hundred fifty tea parties have taken place or are planned across the fruited plain. Hubba, hubba.
CINCINNATI -- Thousands of Tri-State residents gathered Sunday on Fountain Square in downtown Cincinnati to voice their opposition to government spending bills recently signed by President Barack Obama.
The group called itself the Cincinnati Tea Party, modeled after the Boston Tea Party of 1773.

Many of the demonstrators carried signs with slogans that said, "Honk if I'm paying your mortgage" or "Stop spending my allowance." Some even wore tea bags on their hats to make their point.
Cincinnati police estimated the crowd at 4,000 people. Many who spoke with News 5 Sunday afternoon said they're angry, including Rep. Jean Schmidt.
"I bet there's 5,000 people here and they're mad, just as I'm mad. They have a right to be mad at the unbridled spending that's happening in Washington," said Schmidt.

The word is getting out...
And in spite of, not because of, the Drive-By Media.
I voted for Jean Schmidt twice, I also made contributions to her campaign ... bottom line, Jean Schmidt was not a speaker at the Cincinnati Tea Party yesterday ... I was there and can attest to that ... now that she understands (after the fact) that there is an enormous groundswell of activity in her district to reign in Obama spending she is all over the local media. To little too late Schmidt ... you're part of the problem.
She could be a churchgoer. Maybe call her office and make sure she knows about the next one in her area...
The Cincinnati Tea Party started at 3PM & ended at 5PM and stayed on schedule. If her staff was remotely on cue they would have been aware of the event ... Jean Schmidt hedged her bet and made no effort to attend. Make no mistake ... today she regrets that fact. She will pay the price.
Didn’t she get run over by a car last November? Is she still recovering? Have not heard what was the outcome of that story.
If she was hit by a car it must have been a non event ... I live in the Cincinnati area and don't recall hearing about it. Jean Schmidt is in her second term ... and like all other congress critters in their second term (and beyond) they become corrupted by special interest groups & lobbyist ... thus the demand by grass root Americans for term limits.
Yes she was last Oct:

I did a search today of AFP, Reuters, AP, UPI, etc.. I found no mention of the tea parties. There was a story of a few hundred people protesting police brutality, by throwing rocks at cops and 40 or so being arrested. My wife and I are going to take off work April 15 and go to a protest, a first for both of us, we are just sooo angry we have to do something. We will go to either K.C. or St Louis. “Who is John Gault?”
She sort of looks like Lauren Tewes(Julie) from The Love Boat.
There may be a Tea Party in Lexington soon.
