Congressman John P. Murtha, Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense, was presented this week with the Department of the Navy’s Distinguished Public Service Award. The award, granted by the Secretary of the Navy, is the highest form of public service recognition bestowed by the Department of the Navy for a non-employee.

The military is now handing out awards to its enemies? Weird.

This award dishonors every man and woman who ever served or ever will serve.
I bet there were no Marines present at the awarding ceremony, if there was a ceremony.
I know he was in the Marines but I don’t care. He is simply a traitor. Giving him that award is an insult to all Americans who love their country.

My theory was that it was one of Obama’s political hacks from the Chicago Navy gave it to him. However it was signed by President Bush’s outgoing Secretary of the Navy. Blech!

Awarding this medal to this despicable anti-Troop lying politician is proof that the upper echelons of the military are no longer servicemen but politicians.
The one responsible for this should be tried for aiding and abetting the enemy.
