Bush: Obama Is Doing Just Fine

You probably wouldn’t expect former President George W. Bush, in his first speech since leaving office, to praise his successor.

But that’s exactly what he did Tuesday.

In a folksy address to 1,400 people in Canada, he expressed confidence in President Obama’s ability to mend the economy and financial system, Jason Enns, a financial advisor who attended the speech, told Bloomberg. Media weren’t allowed at the event.

“He told us: ‘Wall Street had a big party and now we’re dealing with their hangover,’” Enns says.

Enns said Bush told the audience that he expects Obama will do a “fantastic job” and that he will provide help and advice if Obama asks for it.

Bush told the crowd in Calgary, which is the base for much of Canada’s oil and natural gas industry, that the U.S. will need the crude extracted from northern Alberta’s oil sands, the largest reserves outside the Middle East, Enns said.

Be a man, sentinal, not a backer of spineless jellyfish! Do something for your country like most "real conservatives." Get off your computer and see a recruiter.

Olddog, you're a traitor for voting for Jim Webb (and a liar to voot for trying to deny it). Way to stab people in the back. If there was medal for that, you could share it with Ho Chi Kerry.

Who is writing this crap?

Maybe Bush has borrowed OBozo’s teleprompter?

Bush's Mouth: "Obama is doing just fine"

This is all third hand information, no direct quotes from President Bush. Believe what you will if you can believe the media. This article is crap.

Apparently original story on Bloomberg.com (cannot post on FR because of complaint). I trust this source (Newsmax) however.

Yeah, his support for Specter, our new “leader,” was real classy, too. Our party is in shambles.

Bush is just a little more competent than Obama.

Shut up George.

Bush: Obama Is Doing Just Fine

Just when it was becoming obvious that every mistake they made since TARP 1 is their own....They will use this statement against him again and again for the next year now.

And you're just a plain fool, little guy! And, if you were anywhere near where I was I teach you'd a bit of repect for your eleders.

Seems more like Bush is putting the good of the nation above his own partisan feelings.

If Obama goes down big time, the country may very well go with him.

Besides, this sets a very good example for getting back to not bitching about what your replacement is doing, as X42 seemed to enjoy doing so much.

I read the article. Like I said its all third party he said she said. There were no direct quotes at all.
Its unfortunate how so many have so much time on their hands to bash President Bush. I guess you will all still be sitting with your thumbs up your a$$es, yelling it’s Bush’s fault in 2010 and 2012 instead of mobilizing and getting conservatives into influential offices.

I thought President Bush understood how to speak Southern. Shouldn’t he have said: “Obama’s doing fine; bless his heart”

No, actually, he really means it.

That's why W. was always Charlie Brown to the Democrat's Lucy.

Agreed, however neither the Canadians nor many northern Americans would understand. In fact, my guess is there are a substantial of the elite who would consider it offensive...after all it *does* imply the existence of some sort of *gasp* God.

I'm sure you can. It doesn't change the fact you're a liar and voted for a raving liberal lunatic.

It goes back to Bush being quoted in Canada yesterday that he wanted Obama to succeed. The perpetually-aggrieved think that he should’ve slit a rooster’s throat, drank the blood, and cursed him instead.
