“The nation’s top law enforcement officer has told reporters federal agents will target marijuana distributors that violate both federal and state law — a departure from the Bush administration which targeted medical marijuana dispensaries in California, even if they complied with that state’s law.

In the conversation, Holder did not spell out exactly who would no longer face the prospect of raids by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

But he says cases in which pot dispensaries were believed to be adhering to California law were not a priority of the new Obama administration.”

In other words, any state with a “Medical Marijuana” dispensation is now free and clear. Hardly necessary to proclaim weed legal when you can do it piecemeal.

This being Soros’ principle goal.

There should be no federal policy on weed. It’s a state issue just like 99.9% of everything else should be.

FEDERALISM!

Bambi wants the tax dollars. Plus, it never hurts to keep the populace sedated, as they do in Middle Eastern countries, where everyone sits around chewing khat instead of working. That’s why the Soviet Union made vodka so cheap and available.

Good. This is a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day, as far as I'm concerned. These commies are accidentally going to follow the Constitution and stop overstepping their bounds, even if only on this one issue.

Better yet decriminalize pot and tax it.

“This being Soros’ principle goal.”

Just out of curiosity, why do you think Soros cares about this issue at all?

Khat is a stimulant. It doesn’t sedate its users. Probably used a lot like coca leaves in South America. Workers chew coca leaves to relieve fatigue and hunger.

Both khat and coca are used much like we use caffeine here.

I tend to agree with you, Sir G.

My opinion, not held dogmatically, is that the federal government may have a role to be sure the use of MM isn’t abused...much like some narcotics are controlled to avoid the negative social aspects that accompany addiction/use of drugs.

But the states certainly should be the primary laboratory for these issues...the founders would’ve wanted it that way.

You need to look him up.

Marijuana legalization is one of his pet causes.

Now that may seem strange indeed for a eurotrash financier but it’s a fact.

Do you think that decision should be up to the states, or to fedgov?

This being Soros' principle goal.

Marijuana prohibition has been a UN goal for decades.

You heard Holder, surely you’ve learned how to parse clintonese in the past. He basically said that if the State in question has no problem with “medical marijuana” (which anybody can qualify for, for basically any conceivable reason, I saw “Super-High me”) then the Feds will leave them to it.
