I am a former naval officer/Vietnam vet who served a year in-country [I Corps] including during the Tet offensive and another 8 months off the coast on the USS Iwo Jima (LPH-2). I am also a retired FSO who served in Tehran during the first time we were overrun on February 14, 1979 and I served five years in Saudi Arabia during the entire period of the Gulf War.
