Read posts 46 and 57. I know what I was saying, Canada is a weak and pathetic country and always has been. It was when the more cowardly members of my (by that late date quite extended) family fled to Canada to flee American independence.
I support the Canadian soldier and especially the Airborne.
What prompted me to join the Canadian Airborne Forces Association in 1995 was to show support for the Airborne Regiment that the cowardly Canadian government had just disbanded because of Somalia.

You surely don’t mean that.
Canada has paid the Butcher’s Bill in WW-I, and in WW-II in great big bleeding batches (and unlike the US fought throughout both wars and not just at the end), and in Korea and in nearly every UN Peacekeeping conflict since the Second World War.
The Victoria Cross — which is the world’s most coveted and elite medal for Valor — has been awarded to no fewer than 94 Canadians.
It was Canadian UN Peacekeeping troops under General Lewis Mackenzie who first entered Sarejevo back when the bullets were flying.
And certainly in the War on Terror Canadian troops have done their fair share of fighting and dying in a war they would have otherwise have no reason to fight — except that they are loyal and faithful allies of the United States.
Your disrespect and ingratitude for America’s best and most puissant ally doesn’t do you any credit at all. For shame.
