HOUSTON (AP) - A Texas death row inmate who removed his only remaining eye and ate it several months ago lost an appeal Wednesday before the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals .
Attorneys for 26-year-old Andre Thomas raised 44 claims in his petition to the state's highest criminal court, including insanity, in a bid to remove him from death row.
