Of course they’re ignorant. Congress critters don’t have time to actually read bills. That’s for the little people to do after the fact.
My rep said he was unaware of certain language in the bill... as if that was some sort of excuse.

I doubt they’re ignorant. They just want to be seen as being on the “side of the angels”. Call it public service, and it’s supposed to be something good. It’s just another part of an authoritarian Federal government.
were they actual votes for the legislation in supporting it, or perhaps mere proceedural votes concerning debate on the matter. hopefully the latter in the case of the republican caucus.
