As HR1388,GIVE Act is on its way to the Senate as many of you know. It will be called S.277, the Kennedy/Hatch Serve America Act.
It is on its way to the Senate. Tonight Obama did a TELEVISION commercial about “STEPPING UP” to serve. It sounded like HE WAS RECITING A 30-SECOND POEM and at the end of the commercial he advertised this website. Check it out.
I was at my computer listening to Greta on FoxNews in the background as I worked on my computer so I didn’t see it but I heard it. Did anyone see it?
So here he is with a NEW website before the Bill called S.277 (formerly HR1388) hits the Senate Floor. He is very eager.
Someone please call Congress and let them know they don’t need to show up next week to vote on S. 277. Obama has it covered. He is all set./sarc I guess Obama knows it is a “done deal” since he already has a website ready to roll.
I find Obama's behavior quite contrasting with his eagerness to create and implement his SERVICE AGENDA by ushering in a huge layer of government all the while languishing and dragging his feet over there in Treasury with still NO PLAN and over 16 people in the treasury left to hire.
Obama is turning into every evil leftists imagined Bush to be.
As for my wife, I worry as we are assigned to a post with no housing and live on the economy. We have a few Vietnam Vets around us and an American Legion close by. She could run there but also, there were a lot of McCain/Palin signs in our sub last year.
It is a community where people actually work after all. Obama supporters are few there.
I love the little disclaimer quote the DNC has at the bottom. "Not endorsed by any candidate"!!! LoL, it is endorsed by the PRESIDENT and there are no candidates! But then Obama is still stuck in campaign mode.

Damm what a creepy website — right at the top, the quote from Obama — “we are one people, one nation, and together...”
That can easily translate into German as “ein volk, ein vaterland...”

Most people will fall in line if they are physically able ... if not off to the soylent green factory.

Your wife can input your zipcode (or one close by) to see if there are any organizers planning on hitting the streets on Saturday. I checked out mine and there were only 6 organizers within 50 miles.
It is my understanding, the bill refers to all those in “secondary schools”. I believe senior citizens have been mentioned as well. I don’t think it matters whether you receive government money. As a parent, I wonder what the best way to proceed to keep my children out of it, if this passes. I have taken my kids to volunteer, and will do so again, but they’re not joining any “corp” where the government decides for whom they “volunteer”.
It’s a shame we live in a rural area b/c I’ll miss the opportunity, when the “brownshirts” make their rounds tomorrow, to tell them to “go to he!!”.
My mom used to joke that I was incorridgible and this “mandatory volunteerism” is the last straw. The government can do a lot of things that are beyond my control, but this time I do have a say so. With the words of Nancy Reagan playing in my head, I choose to “just say no” and let the cards fall where they will!
I’m doing all you say, and I will most definitely fight if I stay. But I am also making an exit strategy. I’m not moving right now, I have friends there and just having that path available if SHTF.
But you can count me in on fight.

I looked around and there were a few, but mostly targeted at affluent, rich leftist areas. A few in poorer “comunity activist” havens (kept poor by those same activists... there is a lesson there), but nothing near her.
On the good side, it seems there are many groups with no RSVPs or very few. Getting the lazy, “I am entitled to everything you work for” group to do something is next to impossible.

People need to realize that their children will be “FORCED” to serve. It is no longer their choice. It’s like the draft in the military........uniforms and all that goes with it.

Does anyone know more about the book that Rahm Emmanuel wrote?? This is all I have so far... Has anyone read it?
