[concerned about politics]

Went to DUmmieland and some other lib boards and they’re going out of their way not to discuss this. After tons of searching all I can find is that AIG bonuses are more important to them than something that directly applies to them now and in their future and how great Obama did on Leno’s show. I can’t even find posts with the goofs praising this bill.

I checked, too. These kids are the ones who'll have to serve, and they're not even aware of it.

From what I understand, only those collecting government money have to serve? The rest are a free people. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It is my understanding, the bill refers to all those in “secondary schools”. I believe senior citizens have been mentioned as well. I don’t think it matters whether you receive government money. As a parent, I wonder what the best way to proceed to keep my children out of it, if this passes. I have taken my kids to volunteer, and will do so again, but they’re not joining any “corp” where the government decides for whom they “volunteer”.
