Great point. I was beginning to feel that the AIG people were probably being targeting a bit unfairly. Then I realized that most of them probably either voted for and/or donated to Obama, and I don't feel so sympathetic! ...... Repealthe17thAmendment
The scumbag executives at AIG Financial Products are fools and idiots at best or, at worst, criminals that knowingly sold the financial equivalent of tainted meat, toxic derivatives, on the market.
WE who have lost 50% of our entire stock market portfolios in our 401k's and SEP IRA's are the legitimate capitalists, not these (idiots / criminals .... choose one).
WE who are seeing our small businesses strugle to survive because the banking system that provides small business credit has been poisoned are the legitimate capitalists, not these (idiots / criminals .... choose one).
These scumbags are not legitimate "businessmen" any more than the butcher that sells tainted meat and poisons his town is a legitimate "businessman" or "capitalist".
These (idiots / criminals .... choose one) have caused more damage to American capitalism and free enterprise in the past 10 years that the USSR was able to cause in 82 years.
The dumbest mistake we can make is to defend these (idiots / criminals .... choose one) just because Obama is attacking them. Obama would turn against his own grandmother if he thought that he could gain politically from it. Literally.
These scumbags do nor represent "the rich" or "a class" or "capitalism" or "free enterprise". They are nothing more and nothing less than (idiots / criminals .... choose one).
Right now, the Democrats OWN this mess.
Don't defend either side. It would be like taking sides in a feud between the Mafia and the Crips.
Agreed. Its an unfortunate impulse on our side to defend business without considering that sometimes businesses are in league with the authoritarians in government.
