Seriously! I think too many people are too worked up over stuff like this. Yes it's definitely a bad thing, and the underlying force behind them is also bad. But you've got the right idea. They can be IGNORED in public and REFUSED on private property.

Besides this, eventually the depression we're heading into will soon make them a moot point and they'll run out of fundage for their silly little forms! :-)

I drove through my neighborhood during lunchtime and there was no “canvassers” to be found. The parking lot of the store they met at, and said many would stay behind to “canvass” shoppers, was completely empty. I noticed only 3 people signed up to help out. Sounds like a bust to me, or, they infiltrated the millionaires that live in in the next subdivision.

Seriously...I mean... I ignore people in public all the time! If I don't want to talk, I just walk away. Very, very few people want to pursue. They're not interested in me as an individual. They're gathering numbers. They're not going to go to the trouble to chase me down for something like this. :-)

But if they do...or if they come to the house and pry the door, there are lots of armed people to deal with just about 24x7.

It's just not logical to get worked up by something like this and consider escalating to force as a first resort. People should simply render them powerless by IGNORING them. :-)
