Obama plans huge pledge drive for his policies (emails & door-to-door)

President Obama's appearance on "The Tonight Show" - the first ever for a sitting chief executive - was only a small part of the president's so-called permanent campaign. A bigger move comes Saturday, when Obama will ask 13 million people on his campaign e-mail list to go door-to-door to raise support for his agenda.

The Pledge Project Canvass is an unprecedented effort by a president to reach beyond Congress and tap grassroots supporters for help. Volunteers recruited online by Obama's Organizing for America, a post-election group, will ask citizens to sign a pledge in support of the president's policies on energy, health care and education.

Those who pledge will be asked for their e-mail addresses so the Obama-ites can keep in touch.

"This is just the beginning for us," said Jeremy Bird, deputy national director of Organizing for America, in an online video to Obama supporters this week. "The establishment in Washington won't welcome this new direction easily. We can't let this plan be debated solely behind closed doors in Washington, D.C."

He desperately wants to hide responsibility for his actions behind popularism.

He also wants to drown out the tea parties ... isolate them and spin them as a fringe movement compared to his 3500 house parties.

Fascist policies being sold door to door by Neanderthals. How lovely.

Just let them try to come to my door!!

I’d ask them to join me in prayer for the conversion of Obama to Catholicism. That would scare them off! LOL!

If you don’t want to read the article, here’s the synopsis: It’s a success even through it will probably fail.

The Pledge Project Canvass is an unprecedented effort...

Oh, there are precedents.

Just not in the United States.

Pledge drive, great...”I’m Barack Obama, and if you’re enjoying this presentation of ‘Frontline’, I know you’ll want to be a gold subscriber; for just 50 dollars a month and you get this free gift set of some old DVDs I don’t use anymore, so please if you want to continue to see this kind of fine programing...”

I don't think these door-to-door activists would persuade a lot of people in my neighborhood. They might even have to outrun some bird shot.

Mussolinin and Hitker never stopped campaigning either. To make their nations submit , there leaders had to keep the emotions of the people running high. This is so that the people would not think.

Obama does the same. He is a fascist bent on traducing the freedoms of Americans.

Obama does not know how to govern, he simply hoodwinks the people, the MSM goes along, does what he wants according to the Sal Alinski play book, and voila, we have a fascist state.

Obama must go. The sooner the better.

It’s said that he next plans to require the wehrmacht - uh, sorry, the military - to swear an oath to him, personally, rather than to uphold the constitution.

Just checked my area. There are two within a 20 mi radius. Six people registered for one of them and 2 registered for the other. Not exactly a crowd between them. Don’t think I have to worry about any canvassers at my house tomorrow.

Turns out I actually knew the name of one of the organizers, that was a shock.

A pledge? They want people to sign a pledge to support Obama? And they’ll be taking names of both those who do and don’t no doubt.
