Sadly, as this AIG bill so eloquently illustrated, income tax is not about raising money. It’s punitive and all about masters and slaves. I would love a flat tax, would compromise with a fair tax, but either presumes men of good will working toward an equitable system of raising money.

I would love a flat tax,

The Fair Tax is a flat tax but on consumption instead of income. A flat tax on income will still maintain the same government agency who will be going after AIG to collect the 90% punitive tax, the IRS.
