OAKLAND, Calif. -

SNIPPET: “”At this point we don’t believe there are other people involved, but it’s too early to tell,” he said.”

or maybe not
Four cops dead and all we care about here is what we perceive was police brutality at the BART station in the very same Oakland three months ago. Don’t forget those ugly threads by the knowitalls who saw some cellphone videos and were ready to indict the police.
It’s fortunate that the perp died. At least Hollywood luminaries are now deprived of a “Cause Celebre.”
Three Oakland police officers killed, one critically wounded after traffic stop, shootout
“I went over to one officer and saw he was bleeding from his helmet pretty bad,” he said. “The other officer was laying motionless.”
He said the officer lying near a car had two gun shot bullets near in his face. One bullet was lodged in his jaw and the other in his neck.
The man proceeded to give the officer CPR until police arrived on the scene, he said.

The fact the ‘suspect’ is now a corpse without a trial among peers does not bother me.
About 100 officers were gathered outside the entrance to the hospital’s emergency room, waiting desperately for information about their wounded friends and colleagues. Some of them were wearing SWAT gear, while others were wearing baseball jerseys after having raced from a game.

There are slums in Rio de Janeiro where the police won’t go. Maybe it’s time to implement a similar policy for the U.S. cities where the police are despised by those they seek to protect.
There will be an investigation
It will be determined that the cops were at fault.
Many here will agree.

Very sad
If you are called to jury duty in Oakland, and the case is typically some small fish in the drug trade, the judge (yes, the judge himself!) will usually ask you if you’ve ever been to the East Oakland neighbourhood, or driven through it and if you think that would affect your judgment about the defendant’s guilt (now you know how to weasel out of jury duty.)
I am reading on other forums that the perp was 16 y/o. Can’t confirm yet but source is reliable.
Did they report that all 4 policemen died??
KTVU has breaking news on. Chief Jordan is speaking now.
The four police officers shot by the SOB have died...
