WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama hit back at former Vice President Dick Cheney's criticism of his policies on terrorism suspects, saying Cheney's approach had brought the United States scorn instead of security.
Obama told CBS network's "60 Minutes" program that the policy on detainees at Guantanamo Bay military prison under the administration of former President George W. Bush had been "unsustainable".
"How many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney? It hasn't made us safer. What it has been is a great advertisement for anti-American sentiment," Obama said, according to excerpts released by CBS on Saturday. The interview was to be broadcast on Sunday,

He's right...we should have made up a list of countries to nuke and carpet bomb the living sh** out of, told anyone who didn't like it to stay out of our way or they'd be next, then turned the whole Middle East into a smoldering parking lot. Then sent in the tanks, arty and infantry to blow up any two boards that were still nailed together, or any two stones still cemented together. Shoot anything that still moved. Bayoneted the corpses just to make sure. Machine gunned any raghead goatf***er we were holding in any detention facility, just for good measure.
That said, at least Cheney's approach kept us safe from attack here a home for eight years. Obamanation's plan will give us non-stop attacks from enemies foreign and domestic.

Let’s just see if he can keep America safe from follow-up attacks as long as the crackers did. Maybe he should shut his f*cking trap until then.

How many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney? If liberals would stop opposing efforts to keep this people under lock and key, justice would be served.

"How many terrorists have actually been brought to JUSTICE..."
Unfortunately, you have to parse any phrase, coming from the Left, to figure out what they are really saying.
In this case, of course, he means that he wants to try them in civilian courts, under the so-called "Criminal JUSTICE System". The defendants will get defense attorneys, courtesy of the US taxpayers, and the prosecutors will be forced to either present the evidence against the accused (much of which is classified and could negatively impact national security, if it is disclosed), or choose to not present the evidence (to protect national security) and drop the charges.
If the defendants are found guilty, they will probably be sentenced to "time served", and be sent on their way. If the charges are dropped, they will be sent on their way.
See how Obama's JUSTICE works?

"had brought the United States scorn instead of security. "
"Scorn"...that's CommieBama's "Achilles Heel"
To be "unpopular" and devoid of attention is his biggest nightmare. I don't mean the millions of Obamabots who wet their pants when they see him, he bathes in that glow but cringes at the sound of any negatives...even from one or two people, like Hannity or Limbaugh. He even folden in on himself from what "Joe the Plumber" said...AND...had him investigated.
CommieBama is a paper tiger...or more aptly, a "Teleprompter Tiger". Something tells me if the polls ever turn on him we will see him actually cry on TV.
I'll bet commiebama still thinks it was Colin Powell who brought us to victory in the Gulf War...when actually it was Cheney's direction that won it...Powell - as with all his posts - was just a figurehead.
The next time commiebama gets upset, someone in the audience should yell, "Whatsa matter Barry...you gonna cry?"
He's a total hypocrite, to boot; claiming now to worry that some other country will "scorn us",when he just pulled off the biggest insult in history to one of long time and faithful allies from England.

True. If you can forget about the whole endangering/impoverishing America thing the guy was entertaining.

Barry is in way over his head and he knows it. He's still in campaign and community organizing mode.
VP Cheney was in office in the right time in history. With Cheney's no-nonsense, brilliant, and capable counsel, President Bush was able to keep this country from another equal or worse attack. Barry should be so lucky to have such an outstanding Vice President instead of the bumbling weakling he now has in Biden.
Wait ‘til we are hit again....especially in DC where Barry's wife and daughters may possibly be victims. Then let's see where he will put any of those captured terrorists. Remember, Barry, they must be treated with respect! They will have their rights, you know!

He won in the the first election I was old enough to vote in. No, I didn’t vote for him, and even at my young age I had a bad feeling. The worst thing about Carter has been that as bad as we thought he was at back when he was in office, time has shown us that he was MUCH worse. But, I do expect Obama to end up being worse than Carter when all is said and done.
