Funny, I never heard the song until the "No Quarter" came out. The original studio version is quite weak in comparison.

I was never a LZ fan although did have IV album with "Stairway". I was a Beatles fan then grew to embrace the Doors esp after moving to LA when they were still palying the Whiskey on Sunset. I have some of the Doors albums (and all of the Beatles) burned direct from the master studio tapes - the sound quality even from the 60's is really exceptional.

I don’t have any of their albums except In Through the Out Door and the first boxed set that came out in ‘90. I do miss the crackle of anticipation from a record album, though.
