'Today' host Matt Lauer injured in bike accident with a deer

He fought a deer, and the deer won.
Well, not exactly. But "Today" show co-host Matt Lauer was absent from his morning talk show Monday after an incident with a deer that caused the TV personality to flip off his bicycle.
Lauer was riding his bike over the weekend when a deer suddenly jumped into his path.
Lauer flipped over the handlebars and sustained minor injuries, reps at NBC said.
"Matt's banged up with a displaced shoulder, it popped out," said co-host Meredith Vieira Monday. "Hopefully he'll be on the mend soon."

Interesting, maybe he should stick with skiing! He was staying at the Ritz-Carlton and skiing at Beaver Creek 10 days ago. He skis well and wears a helmet.

Lauer was riding his bike over the weekend when a deer suddenly jumped into his path. Lauer flipped over the handlebars and sustained minor injuries I think a better option would have been to steer left, or steer right. Or maybe veer left. or veer right.
When a deer is dear, veer or steer.
