If you're an anti-abortion activist, or if you display political paraphernalia supporting a third-party candidate or a certain Republican member of Congress, if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic paramilitary group.
That's according to "The Modern Militia Movement," a report by the Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC), a government collective that identifies the warning signs of potential domestic terrorists for law enforcement communities.
"Due to the current economical and political situation, a lush environment for militia activity has been created," the Feb. 20 report reads. "Unemployment rates are high, as well as costs of living expenses. Additionally, President Elect Barrack [sic] Obama is seen as tight on gun control and many extremists fear that he will enact firearms confiscations."
MIAC is one of 58 so-called "fusion centers" nationwide that were created by the Department of Homeland Security, in part, to collect local intelligence that authorities can use to combat terrorism and related criminal activities. More than $254 million from fiscal years 2004-2007 went to state and local governments to support the fusion centers, according to the DHS Web site.

got to identify all the new residents of the fema/re-education camps in our future...........red
I received an email on this a few days ago. I found it ironic that the same state who’s agency has come out with this report linking Libertarians with terrorism, gave out some sort of big award to a Libertarian...
That's some real brain power, right there.
Good. I qualify as a subversive on multiple counts. How about if you think Obama is a illegal alien?
Clinton and Reno had a similar program in place to identify and vilify patriotic americans as enemies of the state. (Its name eludes me.)
Damn proud to be an EOTS.
The article uses the verboten word “terrorists”. We must also not use “terrorism” as it is not nice either. It offends,,,uh,,islamic terrorists. As of last week we should call terrorism “man made disasters”. LOL. We are all doomed. Libtards are more worried about law abiding US citizens than about terrorists, illegal aliens, abortions killing thousands of US citizens everyday, the violence at the southern border, etc. Yeah, let’s focus on law abiding taypaying Americans. Great. Will there be an America we recognize, left by the next election cycle? Pray for America my friends. Pray everyday for her. Evil is dismantling our dear great country at record speed.
The irony is that, in its true sense, every adult in America is a member of the militia.
Even those who despise this country and scorn America’s principles of liberty.
They left out supporting the US Constitution as written.
That’ a huge fact.
Most americans haven’t a clue.
I think we need to start our own “Fusion Centers” When we see a car with an Obama sticker write down the license number. And when someone from ACORN get their name and address. If they ask why tell them we believe them to be a terrorist organization. And any other left-wing group. Start compiling our own lists and if you are in Missouri send them to the FBI.
I told my father back in 2002 that once a new Democrat administration came in to office the DHS and the Patriot act would be turned against patriots.
“...if you possess subversive literature, you very well might be a member of a domestic paramilitary group”
Subversive literature like what? The Bible? The Constitution? The Wealth of Nations? I demand a list.
“Atlas Shrugged”, no doubt.
bump for later review...
How deep does the rabbit hole go???
I would make the headquarters in Detroit.
Ever notice how they only track RIGHT-leaning militias? Coincidence?
What, no Keyes people on the list? :)
I told you all that BO was a totalitarian at heart. He has jus proven the point beyond the shadow of a doubt.
I ran for office as a Libertarian candidate. Guess I’m as good as dead meat on a stick.
By the way, how is databasing someone with different political views a great political idea? Why not just let them EXPRESS those views, RUN for office, and etc.? That is the best outlet for expression of differences — FREEDOM.
This “fusion centers” idea is like poking a stick in a grizzly’s face - numerous times. Idiots.
It just makes me want to run for office again — and mention this politically intimidating, unreasonable “fusion centers” database concept explicitly in campaign speeches.
