Former WABC Radio newsman George Weber was found murdered in his Brooklyn apartment yesterday after failing to report to work for two days, sources told The Post.
Weber, who would have turned 48 today, was discovered half-naked in his bed shortly before 10 a.m. inside his apartment with his throat slashed and more than a dozen stab wounds to his neck.
His hands and feet were bound with duct tape, sources said.

Prayers for him and his family, he was a good guy, in what can be a crappy business, especially in NYC.
Great minds must think alike- that was my first thought when I read the story the other day. The addition of Noodles just adds to the somewhat gay flavor of the story. By the same token, an earlier story said he had a door to his apartment he never kept locked- which may point to a stranger. Of course, a female prostitute with an accomplice might be responsible.
He apparently favored non-gay bars in Manhattan where he worked and in Brooklyn where he lived. He needn't have been gay to have been overly trusting of people.
As an early riser getting ready for my commute to NYC, I listened to George Weber during the “news hour” preceeding Curtis and Kuby on WABC.
His voice definitely became part of my usual pattern in the morning until Imus ruined it.
This is a very horrific murder gay related or not.

Almost certainly. LEOs tell me that whenever they would come upon a homocide that involved a large number of stabbings, etc. that it very frequently turned out to be a sodomite “lover’s spat”.
Interesting spin you put on that, "overly trusting" [gays]isn't what leads people to look for the homosexual angle to mysterious killings like this. Killings like this very often turn out to be related to the homosexual lifestyle.
It's not spin but not jumping to conclusion. He could have been gay but I have no way of knowing at this point.

Don't bother, I know how THAT will end: The killer is a white conservative, bible thumping, homophobe talk show host who made a pass at the victim, and murdered him after his advances were rejected.

RIP George, I’m going to miss you. You were great with Curtis and Kuby following up with Gambling. My condolences to all of the old ABC team that I got up with every morning and stayed with until Imus came along.
