Man Defends Self & Wife in Robbery Attempt

Last night at the Wal Mart on cantrell a gang of three attacked an elderly couple in the parking lot at 11pm.

The suspects thought they would make easy targets.

They were wrong, this from KARK, "Three people have been arrested after a would-be victim stopped a robbery attempt on a Wal-Mart parking lot in Little Rock Monday night.

It happened around eleven o'clock at the store at 19301 Cantrell Road (Highway 10), when a woman was loading groceries into her car and was approached by a man holding a handgun.

When the man grabbed her purse, the woman struggled with him before her husband pulled a weapon of his own from a holster and shot at the man four times.

The suspect then jumped into a waiting car with two other people inside and sped away. Within minutes, police located the man at UAMS in Little Rock, where he and two others were arrested.

They are identified as:

Jonathan Terry, 24, of North Little Rock, charged with aggravated robbery and battery. Terry, was admitted for surgery at UAMS for a gunshot wound to his backside.

Sherry Battles, 25, of North Little Rock, charged with aggravated robbery, disorderly conduct and obstruction of government operations.

Tequila Rice, 22, of Lonoke, charged with aggravated robbery and disorderly conduct. Police say the man who shot at Terry had a valid concealed weapons permit."

If the anti-gunners had their way there's no telling what would have happened to that couple. Thank God they were armed.

He hit the robber at least once. Neither he nor his wife were injured. Good job.

The suspect may be a pain-in-the-rear-end for other folks, but maybe he has a pain that might make it hard to be seated...

The shooter/victim was 53 - I wouldn't consider that elderly!

'Well, it got so that every piss-ant prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a whiskey bottle, and I've been there ever since.'

Just wait till the other jailbirds learned that an old geezer shot him in the ass, and then had him captured.

It’s gonna be a rough jail sentence without vasoline.

Tequila Rice, 22, of Lonoke

"Tequila Rice"?

LOL.

Sounds like a side dish at Chili's.

Damned illegal Amish. Always knew that those foreigners were trouble. I mean trouble with a capital “T”. Horse manure all over the street and all that stuff.

Good that the guy was able to defend himself and all turned out pretty well. Too bad that the perps were still alive after four shots. Still a happy ending.
