(a) Prohibited Activities- A participant in an approved national service position under this subtitle may not engage in the following activities:

(7) Engaging in religious instruction, conducting worship services, providing instruction as part of a program that includes mandatory religious instruction or worship, constructing or operating facilities devoted to religious instruction or worship, maintaining facilities primarily or inherently devoted to religious instruction or worship, or engaging in any form of religious proselytization.

It wouldn't be much of a stretch to see some ACLU type bring some claim into court, and then some judge legislate from the bench that one cannot serve both God and government, ESPECIALLY in the 9th circus court.

EVEN IF this weren't ever the case, imagine someone serving in their church a few hours a week, and then the government mandating that they ALSO serve in a government program. How long before the person drops out of the church program?

Just like taxing people more, drops charitable giving, taxing their time will have the same affect.

right. The ultimate goal is to eliminate religion (Christianity)altogether, as the state can’t control those who answer to a higher power. I remember learning about the USSR when I was in elementary school. It was so hard to imagine that churches were banned there and that the people couldn’t worship in public. What a difference between then and now.
